Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting

I am, along with many others, very frustrated with the media coverage of this horrible murder spree. I have seen children questioned, when adults refused to comment...WHY AUTOPSIES on these murdered babies? Why? And you know what? IF you don't have information to help us process this, please don't pretend to be reporter when your 'report' is purely speculation. Now we hear that the gun man's mother was in fact NOT employed by the school. smh

in memory of a baby squirrel

I wonder if squirrels grieve.

My 2 mini-labs nabbed a baby squirrel today, and although I was able to get it out of the girl dog's mouth, it was screeching, probably in pain. I was so upset and my adrenaline pumping. I penned up my 2 dogs and placed the baby up high in a tree so other dogs couldn't get to it...as I left I heard similar screeching coming from high in the tree...and wondered is that the momma grieving? ugh. so very distraught. I know it is their nature (dogs) but it makes it no easier. Hoping the baby was found by the momma and will live, but hard to say...
